We were given cod liver oil at school back in the fifties. It was gross. I'm not a pill popper, if I don't get enough D3 from sunlight I'm sure that our twice weekly fish intake will supplement the deficiency. Cod, salmon, mackerel, are all a rich source of D3 and if you are feeling flush, so is caviar.Back in the early 20th century, people took cod liver oil for vitamins A and D:
