Here is an eight panel tweed I got from Hats Plus.
Alrightey, now for my long overdue Hat Peoples Brown Herringbone cap in the extra full cut (I received it two weeks ago).
(Sorry for the crudded up mirror)
I'd have to say that it's just a touch browner in actual light, it's more like a dark gray/brown, and it hasn't got that yellowish tinge, that's from the light.
Fit's like a charm.
My new Hat People full cut arrived today. This is their Heather Black, it's the heaviest wool they currently have according to Carol
I am considering buying that black heather in a deep cut as a work hat for riding around on the ATV in winter, seeing it is such a reasonable price. I was going to buy a Wigens with earflaps, or a kangol bugatti, but both caps have polyester linings and aren't washable according to the tag. The HP newsboy doesn't have the earflaps, but at least it is washable, and that heather wool looks pretty durable.I have the brown green and black herringbone in an extra full cut. The black heather is probably twice as thick which was the determining factor for me.
I totally agree about the value of HP hats.
Is that the material they have listed on their website as "Herring Bone green, brown, & black"? I've been considering that one for a while now but wasn't quite sure it's the right shade I'm looking for. If it is the same material, your photos have convinced me.Alrightey, now for my long overdue Hat Peoples Brown Herringbone cap in the extra full cut (I received it two weeks ago).

Would it work in the extra full cut or be too heavy. It'd be interesting to see someone sporting that black watch plaid in a photo - haven't seen anyone with that one yet. I don't have any caps yet with blue in them - they're all grey and browns. That is a woven wool, but that particular one is somewhat felted. It has a great weight for cold weather, and just enough drape to shape it, if you know what I mean.
