The Cap Faction

Just finished my new boro 8-dart cap... I've included a vintage pic that inspired the fabric layout. From my 1920's French cap pattern, my fave one (I call it L'Aronde - The Dove, after the vintage model). This fabric is a Japanese handwoven indigo boro (patched) cotton from about 1910, and the kimono silk liner is also from the teens or twenties. I love the watery pattern of the liner. Leather visor, 1920's grosgrain ribbon and vintage snap.

I'm feeling more confident in my construction detail now, though I have yet to say it comes second nature! I'll wear this cap to death, much as I do my first boro fabric cap.

Lookin' mighty Brian Johnson there Keith. I like it.

Ducked out from work early today to go watch my little girl at dance class. Rockin' the roll myself.

Coolest daddy there hands down.
(not really - my hat's off to any daddy that'll watch his baby dance)

I've just let my Aussie compatriots way way down: I had to look up who the hell Brian Johnson was. Oops.

Like the cap, Dale - and the dance date. Seriously cute stuff, I'll bet.
