Thank you, Steve. That's exactly the reason I wanted it, even though I knew it needed work.Stefan, Happy to see this one! It's rare to see a non Black old Stiff Felt. I really like the color and form!

Thanks, Edward. I agree that it seems to be a bowler for seasonal wear. I can't actually see the size on the label, because it's obscured by other parts. It will be Englsih sizing for sure, but the occasional English hat can be somewhat "off" in its size.
London, New York and Paris seem to be the equivalent of the holy trinity to stick on a hat liner (as if someone would check!)
Thanks, Randy. Eventually something will show up in your size.
Mike, Super! Hopefully the temps will drop so we can see it in action!I really have to do some catching up. I'll post this one in the New Hats thread also. I do take in strays from Ebay from time to time. Put in a bid of $32 on this Gordon Derby with a NRA tag. The photos just barely showed the c1933 tag and said the hat was pristine. Well, I won this one, I was surprised. Classic derby lines, interesting maker and in perfect shape. The manufacture tag is hard to get to, under the liner which as some glue holding it in. Took it to Mike Miller for a little stretch, fits like a custom now. Too hot to wear it for the next few days though.

One of the coolest finds I have seen in quite some time, Steve. Superb!A while back, before corona, I bought this very nice Oldham and Fogg Bowler from Stefan @steur. While doing some research on the company, I stumbled across this ca. 1920's trade catalogue and was able to purchase it.
Sometimes, you just get lucky twice
Here are some research images.

WOW!!!!!
Nice! The profile reminds me of a vintage Knox derby, and the pleated liner is superb.Picked this beauty up from Jim (@Frunobulax). Looks great, fits great, comfortable wide sweatband ... what's not to love? I'm not finding anything about Clarkson so far. Jim -- did you find anything when you had it?

I really like the lines of this one Bob. Could Clarkson be a department store name? There seems to be a plethora of Derby manufacturers in the early 20th century.
