Does someone want to translate...?Its not good news............
Does someone want to translate...?
Thank you. Hoping the best for the employees. Don't have much hope for the hats...Basically the decision is deferred again to the end of January. As the previous proposal was rejected, they are now trying to come to a new agreement which makes the creditors happy and safeguards the jobs of the Borsalino employees. Negotiations between the union and Haeres Equita continue. Even though under the new management they have been making a profit again, the debts after Marco Marenci's fraudulent actions are so enormous that it hasn't been enough to satisfy the bancruptcy court. So they're still trying to come to an arrangement, more news at the end of the month
At least that's what I get from the article, my Italian's pretty basic to say the least. Perhaps Daniele can correct me if I've misunderstood anything.

Robert you do not have to despair ..... Borsalino has produced millions of hats and many of these are still available and above all wonderful, just knowing how to look aroundThank you. Hoping the best for the employees. Don't have much hope for the hats...
Fantastico!!!To warm our spirits dampened by gloomy news, this old Borsalino - the only one in my collection manufactured before WWII.

Beautiful Borsa Alan, I love everything about it. And a really nice picture of you wearing it, that hat could have been made for you, only they don't make them like that anymore...To warm our spirits dampened by gloomy news, this old Borsalino - the only one in my collection manufactured before WWII.
Grazie Celia!
The summary of the article of the newspaper Alesssandria was done perfectly, respecting the meaning of the complex legal situation
I personally have no desire to talk about this situation at every rustling of leaves.
When we will have a final decision I will say what I think of the situation.
Speculate solely for the sake to talk of a complex and difficult situations to really analyze it is a waste of time

Love that one. Beautiful heathered felt, great shape. What more can you ask for? (except that it's in your size...)Great! I love the detail of that lining.
I pulled the trigger on this recently. It's expected to arrive today. Wonder about dating - 50s-60s? I'll have to see if I can get a peek at the tags. It was sold at Maurice Rothschild & Co.

I stand corrected. There's always an even better hat on the horizon (and in my size too). That is jawdroppingly gorgeous! Makes me all greedy.I love it even more now. Misto/Sodium Gorasgu with a yellow label... wonderful. A year or two to either side of 1950 I think. I also have a Misto Gorasgu. A beautiful big style.
Beautiful hat. Is it the liner crest/logo that gives this one away as a prewar? To warm our spirits dampened by gloomy news, this old Borsalino - the only one in my collection manufactured before WWII.

I can't argue with you. I just picked up two Borsalino's and one liner looks similar to yours but I assume is from a later date as you stated. Again beautiful!I wish I could speak with certainty on this. Half of the manufacturing label is missing, but the top part showing three letters to the left and a separate sticker for size I believe are earlier than labels with the size rubber stamped. The wide (2") sweatband with fine stitching and the imprinting on the silk liner are also different than post-war examples. It was purchased in Italy and then brought back to Buffalo which would have been unlikely during the war, I think. All these things taken into account together make me think it could be a rare older hat. But I have no compelling proof.
