I posted a reply earlier on another link about the merits of US Authentic, and probably should have posted it here. I ordered a russet horsehide from Shaul Dover, and it fits well -- it's built along slender lines, and that is good for my stringy frame. (It's a 40, and I normally wear a 41 or 42 long suit.) The leather is remarkably heavy, almost too heavy. It will need some hard pounding before it drapes as well as horsehide should. Still, I am not complaining. It is a dandy jacket to wear, and is more than equal to most Southern winter days or nights
That leaves me with an Eastman russet HH, size 40, that is nicely battered but a shade too short. I may put it up for sale.
