I sure do pray all our Fellow Loungers that are in Texas and other States suffering from this latest storm weather will be safe and check in, letting us KNOW they are safe!
My father-in-law lives in Central Texas, and he said they had more than a foot of rain where he lifes. At one point there were about 200 road closures due to flooding along a major highway. Crazy!
Hubby's aunt lives in Buda. It was pretty bad there. His niece goes to school at TSU (is that the right name? The one between Austin & S.A.), and she was stuck in her dorm due to flooding. Couldn't get out. Sister-in-law's family owns a frozen yogurt shop up in Belton that is near a river. She sent us photos of the river almost over the banks into the parking lot. Just bad all over for them.
We cut through on some country roads when we went from S.A. to McMahon to visit Hubby's grandpa at Jeffrey Cemetery. Fun drive, but really, really hot. Was 108° when we stopped for dinner at my fave bbq in Luling.
It was about 30 degrees warmer than what we are used to for that time of year. We don't get snow here, just lots of gray and what we call drizzle - not quite enough rain to need an umbrella, but enough to get you a little wet.
