I just bought Droopy the Complete Theatrical Series dvd. It had some bonus features of Tex Avery and 1940's MGM animation. I think it is a great little collection of all the Droopy Cartoons. Uncut and unedited a fine work of art.:eusa_clap :eusa_clap

I really need to get this set. Just watched (and loved!) the Tex short "Wags to Riches" on the Astaire-Rogers set (The Barkleys of Broadway, I believe) and it occured to me that after being exposed to Avery's genius for so many years as a kid and then having most of his work, along with many other classic cartoons, vanish from the TV landscape, I can newly appreciate Avery's as well as all of the fine work from Clampett, Jones, and Tashlin, too.

Just mentioning the "Wolf" cartoons will bring a smile to my face!

Are the Droopy cartoons uncut?

On a somehwat related note, has anyone watched the Looney Tunes Golden Collection Volume 2? I read a review on Amazon that the set suffered from sped-up sound, but have not been able to confirm this, as I do not have older copies of those cartoons. Anyone?
