A great jacket reasonably priced. Check out how much people want for Taubers horse on thief-bay and you'll see that Terry's price is reasonable. I would buy it (it is my size), but already have two HD Sportsters and don't want to go too CR-crazy. GLWS Terry.

What a beauty!! If I didn't have a horsehide Tauber's CR already, I'd definitely roll on this one. Great price and beautiful condition. GLWS!!

Dam I retired early last night being tired and my computer/internet was acting up this morning missed his one Ahaaa

The buyer told me this is his first Vintage jacket.

He should note the comments above from these esteemed members.

Smart guy. For my first vintage CR I took @Monitor advice and bought an HD Sportster. Then I bought another. This Taubers is a classic, though, and I did consider buying it.

I’m not sure about being smart , this jacket might put me on the couch. But I keep telling myself and my wife this one is different...
I was also looking at technovox shirt but went with this one only because it had the shoulder gussets and I think the sporty would have been a little snug in chest for me. I had mentioned the same to him. This is my first go with ‘vintage ‘ and I’m looking forward to getting it. Thanks again to the both of you for giving me some history also.
Ok so now is the question, which one of my jackets to sell..... I have a few up already . The himel, the epaulet and another must go. Hmmmmm stay tuned

The world of Cafe Racers is huge. Making a decision is challenging. Many, many very cool models and tempting prices. I am please that his Taubers has shown through.

I have many more coming up for sale.
Sorry I missed this one, a good sale and a good catch! But I console myself it was maybe just a little big on the p to p and waist for me. If you have anything suitable coming up for sale I am in the market for a Taubers (old label, horsehide, straight or cross zip) and/or a cal leathers (older the better if not too beaten up, straight zip or cross zip, a snap in collar would be lovely especially in grey) in roughly size 38 or a small (but not short) 40. I’m 5’ 10” and around 150 - 155 lbs, so I’m hoping you have a few jacket a bit too small for you you want to sell :)

I’m sure i’m getting ahead of myself, but I guess exhibiting some jacket frenzy is not frowned upon on TFL... so nothing ventured...

So as a rough guide ideally I’d want measurements around:
20.5” - 21” p to p
decent length arms say 25” following curve (some margin either way, also depending on shoulder width)
fairly trim (or adjustable to trim fitting) waist, say around 18.5” depending on where jacket hem sits on body
not too short at back (albeit I know such jackets will typically be a bit shorter than modern jackets...). 25” ideal maybe down to a tad under 24”...

On condition needs to be essentially solid, but a jacket needing a little love (cleaning/conditioning/airing or tidying some loose stitching, getting lining patched, up to replacing main zip or maybe even needing a full relining could be ok) if the price reflected the work needed/loss of some originality...

Well I can dream! But I’ll keep my eyes open for your future sales just in case I get lucky...

I've got a vintage horsehide Taubers Crosszip that just might fit you. It's too small for me and just sitting in my closet- PM me if you're interested.
