Tan/light brown fedora 58cm (7 1/4)

I am intending to sell off this hat, as it no longer fits me. It is one of my favourite hats and I really want to wear it but as it doesn't fit there's no point in having it any longer. However, as it is one of my favourites I will not sell it on ebay. It will only go to someone who I know will appreciate it, i.e. a lounger.


Details:
Maker: Wegener Headwear (German hatter from Hessen) hand made in Germany not factory made (it claims on the sweat band)

Colour: tan/light brown

Appearance: cross between a German Tracht hat and a safari brim fedora, slightly tapered crown

Felt: probably fur felt, very good at holding up in rain, has proven to be crushable

Bash: centre dent and front pinches, can very easily be reshaped as felt goes soft when wet

Band: made from the same felt as the hat but darker shade of brown, with box ribbon on left hand side

Brim: has a piece of matching felt attatched to the top to strengthen it (looks like an overwelt but is not), snapped down front and back (could be snapped up but would require steam to do so permanently)

Interior: fully lined with plastic covering the top, thin leather sweat band, all in excellent condition

Size: was 58cm (7 1/4) but is now more like 57cm (7 1/8)

Dimensions: crown 5 1/2 (when creases are popped out), brim 2 1/2 front and back (slightly less at sides), 1 1/2 band

Defects: one tiny pen mark on the back right edge of the brim and one pen mark at the top of the crown, unfortunately not all idiots who snatch hats from your head have clean hands

Price: I will sell for £60 +postage and am prepared to post to anywhere in the world, I accept paypal, cash and collection in person (if you live in the UK)

This hat has been used and abused a bit but has survived it all. I cannot re-size, re-block or re-ribbon it or offer any similar services as I live nowhere near a good hatter. I can try to re-shape it with steam if you want, but only once I have received payment.

I will post the day I receive payment, unless the post office is closed by then, in which case I will post the next day.

I am prepared to lower this to £45 (I feel like I'm auctioning with myself) or trade it for an Akubra Fed IV size 59cm (any colour). The standard Fed IV costs the same as this hat did when it was bought, and this should be able to measure up to what I have heard Akubras can do.

So £45 or 59cm Fed IV.

Last attempt to sell this off before it goes on ebay. I don't want to do that as I would prefer a lounger to get this as they will know how to look after it, but I cannot wear this so there is not point keeping it.

£35 to a lounger (will be more on ebay) or I will still do the trade I previously mentioned for a Fed IV 59cm (I will pay the balance).

This is nearly half of what I payed, so this is not a bad deal.

OK, £30 (come on that is half of what I originally charged and this is a very durable hat).
