These are not vintage but I was a bit surprised at how they looked with a Panama ..
A few questions:
Should the color of the shades match the hat? I have charcoal and brown (acorn or fawn depending on the site) fedoras, and was wondering if I should wear amber shades with the brown hat and black with the charcoal?
I was thinking about aviators, though I do like the 'wraparound' - not because of the style but because it blocks the sun better. Are there more classic shades that would meet this criteria?

Not to get off topic but is that a Grand Marquis you're riding in? Towncar maybe?
Completely agree with Chinaski--these have been my only (prescription) sunglasses and work quite well with my fedoras and my panama.Original Ray Ban Wayfarers. Tortoise. Nuff said.
Fantastic look, T Rick--great combo of shades and fedora!Since starting this thread, I settled on the light tortoise Wayfarers with brown G15 lenses.
Thanks!Fantastic look, T Rick--great combo of shades and fedora!
I agree completely, those are what I ended up buying (light tortoise, brown lens). But with a Beret, I have finally found the perfect situation for these Bolle sunglasses I've had for a couple if years but hardly worn.Completely agree with Chinaski--these have been my only (prescription) sunglasses and work quite well with my fedoras and my panama.
