If it were only my size. It would also make removing my hat when I go indoors automatic (as well as when I returned outdoors).
Too bad it's not your size. Otherwise you could do a double a triple you could do a "ripples in the pond" telescope crease. That might bring the height down a bit. o_O
 
Is that what a 14 gallon hat looks like?

I figure about 2-1/2 gallons, but it damn near drowned my horse.

Not as tall of a crown as Bob's, but this is my tallest open crown Western, a Knox Stagecoach at 7 inches. The brim is 4 1/2 inches wide, including the 1/4 inch kettle curl. I did a refurbishment on this hat and gave it a Montana crease with a mule kick and reworked the brim, in addition to changing out the woven hat band for a mid-ribbon.
