Good looking Vintage Fedora, generous 7 3/8, Chocolate Brown felt in fine condition with a great sewn in grosgrain edge 11/16 UNDER the brim; very sharp treatment, allows the steeply raked back edge to show the edging quite well, and accentuates the snap brim; 1 7/16 grosgrain ribbon is a russet color, fine contrast to the felt, edging is same color. not a stitch out of place anywhere.
Sweatband is soft enough, a little separation going on between body & sweat-not an issue, original silk tie in back of sweat still intact; Liner is all there, very minimal touch of coloration, have to look closely to find it.
Overall-I'd rate the hat a 9 - on a 10 scale; only points off are for the sweat not being welded tight, and one moth bite underneath the brim, can't be seen until you take hat off-and since it's a dark hat, relatively,it's not of large consequence. No odors, weak spots, surprises of any kind. Terrific hat, I like it a lot, only reason for selling is needing money for new camera (to take photos of hats with...).
