Stetson hat

My son got gifted a Stetson hat and I am trying to find a bit more about it, like how old it is. I have been reading up on Stetson hats but am struggling to put a year to this one. Is anyone who could help me with that?

It also has a small stain and I am wondering how best to clean this.

Any information and tips would be very much appreciated.

Probably late 70's into the 80's. Made before they switched to a dual metric/US sizing. Also, it's stamped 3X 'Beaver' which means it has 'some' beaver in the felt whereas the current 3X does not. It's a decent entry level hat in good shape. Couldn't make out the stain you were speaking of but always start with brushing the hat then perhaps a hat sponge and steam to help. If that doesn't work, there is ample information here on cleaning hats and stain removal.
