This is an ultra rare once in a lifetime hat!
The felt is flawless rich black. Molds to any shape like clay. The crown ribbon sharkgill (2 3/8 tall!) and sewn overwelt are perfect
The sweatband has some slight staining in front but is supple and has no signs of dry rot
This hat came with no liner
1916 Exposition label (I'm told this hat is not from 1916 but dates to some time later, this logo was used for some time after, possibly as late as 1930)
Lot # 4884
Crown is 5 3/4
Brim is 2 1/2
Size 7 1/2 (this is a tight 7 1/2 with some slight shrinkage over time but still fits my giant noggin, if you're in between a 7 1/2 and 7 3/8 this hat will be a great fit)
$350 is no longer available
These paper tags are very fragile and crumbling so be careful accessing
