I believe that would most likely be a 30's Cadillac "Flying Lady" ornament. Ms. Crawford's car appears to be a 1932 Cadillac Fleetwood Roadster. Fantastic thread!

OK, not a "car" shot, but a fabulous photo, nevertheless. Steve McQueen, on the set of "The Great Escape", with James Coburn, James Garner, and director, John Sturges.

Probably the fastest car ever owned/driven by a movie star. Steve McQueen, and the 250mph, Porsche 917K.
