my guess is reproduction jacket, not a WWII original. that said it could still be a very nice jacket. what does the rest of it look like?

The company name escapes me ATM, but going by the jolly roger tag, these A-2 jackets are made in China. From what I recall when researching them a number of years ago, the company produces repros of other A-2 contracts as well.
The horsehide, patterns, and quality looked great to me from what I saw, and I believe they were selling for around $500.00 USD then. I gave up on the idea of obtaining one because of shipping difficulties to the States at the time....
