I enjoy driving almost any motor vehicle. But most of the driving I do these days is on city streets with moderate to heavy traffic. For those conditions, give me every automatic or power-assisted feature you got.

Even as a german, I would say, that the manual gearbox is definitely outdated by todays technology. I got absolutely no problem with the manual gearbox, myself, but despite, it's outdated.

The only time I ever sat in a heated seat it was very disconcerting -- I felt like I'd wet myself. Not something I care to repeat.

I've never had a hot seat in a vehicle. No pun intended.
About the only thing I've tried
is an electric blanket in bed.
But it was very uncomfortable.
I felt like I was 2 yrs and had
"tinkled" in bed.

I would estimate as many if not more as over here in the "good
old USA" with the need to text while driving.

my part to a question that is not
easy to answer regarding all US cities.

There was a question regarding foods we eat in the U.S.
This country is so diversified
that what's accepted in one region
may not be the case in other parts
of the U.S.
As far as what is eaten and also how it is prepared.

My next vehicle, I hope, will be a Miata MX-5 RF (in 4-5 years). Heated seats are a must. I plan on driving with the top down all winter (retired in Oregon) except when raining or snowing. RAF Irvin jacket, shearling leather flying cap, goggles, silk scarf.... I may never get to fly open cockpit but, damn it, I want to drive open cockpit.

I took to putting down the tops on my old roadsters (a '64 MGB and a '67 Triumph Spitfire) starting in February. This was in Seattle and environs. If you keep moving more than about 15 or 20 mph the interior stays dry, even in a fairly heavy rain. Many a late night saw me covering 20 or 30 miles on limited access highways, top down, in the rain, just for the fun of it.
