I'm a big guy, size 46-48 jacket, and I always have been. If I can lose my gut, I'll be a solid 46, maybe smaller. I have a nice Sterlingwear Peacoat I picked up in the late 1990s, size 46, little snug in the mid section but nothing that can't be overcome. I've been searching for a pre-1980 Kersey Peacoat the last few months. Ebay sucks, frankly. But I may have finally hit something. Should be here on Monday... a WWII Peacoat. The measurements I was given (24" pit to pit) indicate that it might fit. Also, Peacoat's thread stickied at the top was bloody invaluable! Thanks again for that, I consulted it every-time something came up.
Everybody cross their fingers that the seller got the right measurements for me!
