Slipped and damaged my boots earlier. Need advice

From what I know im assuming the white is damaged finish and could corrected by refinishing them. The cuts I'm less optimistic but I've been told some products or cobblers can work miracles. Any advice would be really appreciated, thanks

They're shoes, don't worry about it, just give them a polish and live your life.
I used to worry about the perfection of things a lot, and am much happier now that i have relaxed this aspect of my personality.

I figured polishing would remove the scuff but it didn't when I tried earlier. That's why I guessed the finish would need redone

Just get a decent polish, Jade is good stuff, and give them a few good goings over - I use an old Aero shearling sample to buff mine - and then forget it ever happened. Invariably, what looks like a mortal wound on a pair of shoes fades after a bit of buffing and wear. I scuffed a pair of light tan Chelsea boots really badly and simply used to dark brown polish, really worked it into the leather, effectively dying it. Wear them all the time now.

First off, sorry that you slipped (and I take it fell too?)
I truly do hope you are okay.
I took a very bad fall off my bicycle this fall and wound up in cast for 4 weeks due to a fractured wrist.
So, I take any type of fall much more seriously now.

Regarding your post:

They are Boots.

This is part of their function in life.

Wear. Enjoy. Re-oil as needed.

I haven't polished a pair of boots in 15 years, and I'm not about to start now.

I agree w/ everyone else and would try not to let that tiny ding bother me. A guy that jabbers about boots on the net once said that you can stretch your views when it comes to shoes you'd consider wearing as no one you know will notice and he's right.

To answer your question directly though the answer is yes, there is such a thing as leather filler and there are several varieties on Amazon under the search term 'leather filler'. I'd leave it be were it my boots.

Use saphir renovatrice in layers as needed.

Black Saphir polish and / or Saphir Renovateur will make that mark vanish, at least until you scuff them again and decide to stop worrying about such things.

Be careful with the renovateur though, begin with tiny amounts.
Further as the rest said: don't worry too much about it and trust the Saphir d'Or products

Boots look better with a few dings. Polish will sort it.
