Size 48 Aero Highwayman near Washington DC

Time to pass on an old friend. If you're looking for authentic it doesn't get much better than this. Over 20 years of adventure on this coat. I've pursued disreputable women, ran from the law, been in fisticuffs, rode (and crashed) motorcycles and other things I'd not tell my kids about. That having been said I'd say it's easily got another 20-some more years in it.


Note the scratched leather on the left forearm.
The zipper was replaced professionally years ago.

Ideally I would find a situation in which I could exchange it for another high quality leather jacket that fits. Preferably a CHP style motorcycle jacket. I've lost over 130lbs with no intent of ever gaining it back. If I have to sell it outright I believe $500 is what it would take to replace it with something comparable.

Space_cowboy - I see you are new here. Welcome to FL! This is a helpful and fun place to spend (a-lot) of time.

Here's an example of what he means: (Most of us put very little stock in Aero's Tag sizes, as well as most other manufacturer's too.
Aero J106 (Tag size 42)

• Pit to Pit: 23"
• Shoulders: 19.25"
• Sleeve (straight) 26.25"
• Back Length 25"
• Waist 21.5"

There are plenty of charts and all in a Google search for the topic. Get a flat or cloth tape measure, or take the jacket to a men's suit shop and they can easily measure it up for you. This being a Highwayman, if a "tag size" of 48, it's going to fit closer to a 50 or even a 52 and might have fairly short arms to it.
