If the sleeves end up being too short to your liking even after creasing from wear and the jacket is a 'keeper,' it's worth considering professionally shortening them. 'Keeper...' how many of those have we let go over the years though? ;)
In my experience that never gives good results. If it comes to that, I'll sell this one and see if I can get get it remade to my measurements.

This from behind the bar:

OK, kids - play nice, or go home. Differences of opinion between adults (of whatever gender) are fine in this venue, rudeness
is not. The management reserve the right to distinguish between humour and harassment.

As you were.

Not a great fan of shwal collars in general, imo the only company who ever got that one right on a leather jacket is Levis on the Einstein jacket. Don't like the way Himel does em, don't like them the way Aero does em, don't like the way SB does em. That being said, if you are into shawl collars, I don't think this one looks any worse than the others.

Looking at Simmons Bilt, it's the new overhauled back design of the half-belt which really catches my attention. That one looks cool.

May order this in burgundy steerhide or maybe their softer Ranch Burgundy leather even though I would want a swatch of the later first.

I discovered that corner button on vintage jackets that had the button flaps combined with (over the top of) handwarmers. I think originally they were functional in order to allow you to slip your hands in without having to unbutton the flaps; but it would still keep the flaps basically closed. Attaching here a pic of Terry's Roughwear (still one of my favorite jackets ever), which has the sort of layout I am talking about, though with a zip front of course.

For my own purposes, I just liked the off set look. I had thought about going with no button at all, but Dave though the flaps might pop up too much with something to hold them down. In any case, really like how it turned out.

Can you please identify the jacket cited above - manufacturer and style. Thanks!
