John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Very nice Eric. I went with the bird theme today as well.

but it's warmed up a bit, so he came out to sun.

Thanks Eric. Yes, it would be a blast to drop into a Penney's from the 30's or 40's or 50's. I find their current Stafford line to have made some of the better fitting sport coats and suits with nice fabrics from the 80's into the 2000's.That is a really sharp tie. Penny's, in it's day, would have been fun to shop.
ElectrifyingWearing a vintage tie today. This vintage silk tie, Plio, is out of Denver.

Best, Eric -
Thanks Dale. I was happy to run across this tie again yesterday. It was buried on my rack. Ha ha. I love that thin and shiny fabric they used back then. And very glad to see that that suit still fits me despite the extra 10 or 15 lbs I've put on this winter.
Thanks viclip. I almost always wear my pocket watch when I wear a dress vest. Not so much with my Filson mackinaw vest.
And staying on the subject of ties, today it is a Scottish made Campbell tartan woolie

The pocket watch, my only one, was my Grandfathers. Nothing fancy and I think if I recall it was made in 1912

Missing the second hand, and I believe I have a vague memory of being involved in that issue about 60 years ago. Ha ha.
Thanks,
Michael
that's the company. I'll trade you the watch for a Studebaker Hawk. Ha ha. Always one of my favorite car designs.Hey, South Bend is in my back yard. I only did a quick search, but if it's the same company it was founded by the Studebaker brothers in 1903, so the timeline would match. Studebaker was most famous for covered wagons and then one of the early pioneers of automobiles the first half of the 20th century. South Bend (the city) pretty much owes its existence to Studebaker and Notre Dame.
They did a good job of embroidering all of those spaniels and mallards on there.^^^^^ Love that dog/duck tie @Michael A !
