Are these vintage, I have no idea.

Hi all. My first time posting and first time trying to post a picture so please bear with me if I get this wrong.

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8214/8366674994_7e9e17311e_z.jpg

A few years ago I inherited my Grandfather's collection of ties when he passed away. After finally unpacking all the "stuff" I was curious just how many of these ties could be considered vintage. If the picture worked then you can see a small sampling of what I now possess. If not, then maybe it will help to list a few manufacturer's names so, here's a few.

Trevira
Mark Alexander
J. T. Beckett
Sutter Grant
Allyn St. George
John Ashford
Geoffrey Beene
Stafford
Wembley
Gant
Kuppenheimer

Anyone have any an idea if these are vintage?

Thanks in advance.

And I guess the picture didn't work.

It's hard to tell from the photo, but a couple of the striped ties might be "vintage" (c.early-'60s). Wembley is an older brand (and collectible, in my book), and so is Trevira (although later than Wembley). If you could get another photo, with the ties spread out a bit, it would help to identify any older ones.

Thanks Widebrim, I really don't know what I have so any guidance will be appreciated. I'm heading to work now but I'll try to get another picture up tonight.

Thanks again.

The picture link works...nice looking spread out of ties. The real experts here know more than I do, but they all look very nice to me! Your late Grandpa had good taste! I would treasure those ties dearly, if I were you!

Here are some better pictures of a few of the ties I inherited from my Grandfather. Any input will be appreciated. Hopefully this time I can get the pictures to work if not I'll have links again.

These are the Wembleys I have.

These are Allyn St George.

This is the lone Trevira

These are Stafford, I know they probably don't count as vintage as you can still buy Stafford at JCPenney.

And the rest are just singles put together in an assortment.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Problem with the links, I think I have it fixed now.

^^The Wembleys and Trevira appear to c.-early '60s. The others look to be anywhere from -late '70s on...

Thanks Widebrim, I really never considered them anything special except for the fact they came from my Grandfather. There are a few I just can't see myself wearing but the stripes and solid colors I do wear from time to time. Apparently he was a fan of paisley as there are quite of few of those. Thanks for taking the time to look and comment on them.

A couple of classic Superba S n' Ss I found at the Goodwill yesterday:

This one still had a very old dry cleaners tag on it.

A third tie wasn't that spectacular, but the clothier's label got my mouth watering. Anyone got a time machine?
