I am not sure really. The one on the right obviously is but I'll know when I get my hands on them. Getting these took three months of negotiations.
The previous owner was going to make a quilt out of them! :eusa_doh: That is why they are flat apart. I hope they can be joined back together seamlessly. There are several others in the lot but these two seem to have the most promise of being made back into ties.

I was able to rescue some a while ago when visiting a church quilting bee. But, yes, I saw some casualties, too.

I have no idea what goes through their mind. I mean just use ties from the 1970s. There is plenty of material there and no one cares if they are made into quilts.

Well, I got my lot in the mail yesterday evening. It looks like I might be able to save about eight of them. The material is all there but the inner facing is missing. Perhaps it is all fixable. There are others that might make decent bowties for my son. [huh]
