The rest of the rummage sale lot:

Here's the rest of the ties I picked up from that rummage sale. Not quite as notable as the 40's ones I posted a little awhile ago, but these mostly late 50's-60's were still hard to pass up at 25 cents apiece (And two pocket squares too).

Sorry about the small photo size Bob, I have realized that a lot of detail is lost due to this. The original photos were much larger, but I had to scale them down in order to use the FL site uploader, which is currently my most convenient option for posting photos. However I am looking into setting up an account at an image hosting/sharing site, so that I can post the larger photos. Any suggestions?

You hit the jackpot, MelancholicNostalgic. There's some really nice ones in that lot, and it'd be hard to top the price. I like the navy one with the city/landscape design and the one next to it with branches on it. The gold one with the gates is really cool too. All nice finds.

Thanks dh66! The light blue one with branches was particularly interesting, because about midway down the tie it appeared that someone had glued on feathers, perhaps to resemble a bird. My guess is maybe it was some kid's addition to the traditional "tie for a Father's Day gift." In any case however, the feathers were in terrible condition, and detracted severely from the look of the tie, so I removed them as best as I could, and am now trying to figure out what would be the best method for removing the glue stain.

Worst case, it could always be your pizza and beer night tie.

More thrift store finds!

First, I'll start with a tie with an illegible logo that I got last week.
It's 56" Long and 3" Wide. I'm guessing late 60s or early 70s.

I've been digging Eddie's plaid ties for a good while now, but never seem to come across any. Not any decent vintage, anyway. When I saw this one, in classic 50s colors no less, I had to have it.
