Here is a 30's American tie I exchanged for one of my East German ties. A bit more ornate than minimalist white stripes ...
but in a perfect color and pattern combination to spice up any beige, grey, blue or brown suit.

I actually own only one printed Bold-Look tie (to wear with my single Bold Look fleck suit)... but it is not too gaudy.

Both are great. It's pretty neat how the cross weaving of the contrasting colors produces a neutral color from a distance. Or at least that's how it appears on my screen.
