I thought a few migh5t be interested in what a rather old JC Penney tie label looks like. I have never seen one of these before so it might be useful to take a look at and remember it well. :D

The front of the tie isn't very remarkable but it is a 30s or slightly before for sure.

From right now, about the most densely painted necktie I have. No labels, feels like silk, undoubtedly hand-painted in California...a real short one, too.

I like this one a lot. I'd love to see how these are done. I wonder if anyone still does them. Robert Daskal does new handpainted ones and some aren't too bad but they aren't as detailed as the vintage ones. This one is great.
