One of my better yard sale finds. It is a Shultz and Larson RPLT. I bought it for $15.00
It needed a lot of cleaning and oiling.
Didn't know anything about it, but found it was a rare Danish coast guard rifle from WWII. 1200 of them were stolen from the factory by Danish resistance. The Nazis then closed the factory. I sold this to a vintage arms dealer for $900.00

Had a few interesting finds lately.

Made in the USA leather soles, pebble grain longwings in sizes far too tiny for me. 7.5D and 8D. No brands anywhere.

Found this old bandana for 45 cents. A little research puts it 50s or 60s, with several on the ebay and etsy going in the $15 to $30 range.

Love it Dale! I've got a bad problem with these buying almost all the all-cotton USA made ones I run across in thrifts. Probably over 200 so far. At least they don't take up much space. Thought about starting a thread on them, but you and I might be the only ones participating.

Glad to know my "problem" isn't as bad as I thought it was.

Good looking sideboard, also the ceramic Christmas trees look nice on it. Nice to find older, quality furniture. It looks to be in excellent condition.

Thanks D-dog & Dale! My wife found it and used the 30% off coupon she had earned with "points" at DAV. The piece is really nice and heavy! Looks great at the farm. It replaced the old console stereo (tube amp) that is moving to my daughter's house. The ceramic trees are my wife's new obsession as well (there are a couple more back in town). Almost as bad as mine was with aluminum Christmas trees.

I see a lot of binoculars in thrift stores. Most are quite low end, often in desperate need of repair. This pair, however, was a pretty exciting find, at least for a WW1 student like myself.

They are 'graticulated' so were probably issued to an artillery observer.

Similar, but German. I guess there's only so many ways you can make them.
