Thank you! My stingy brims don't get enough head time.I like this one! Solid proportions and shape, and looks very much at home on you!

Very classy hat for the era (late 1950s?) Love that liner tip and sweat stamps. Dig it!Here’s an old favorite
Royal Coachman by Dobbs with guild edge
Darker grey felt with bluish tones with 1 7/8 black grosgrain ribbon and a wind trolley. The brim might be shorter at about 2 inches but there is nothing stingy about a Cavanagh edge in my humble opinion

Thanks Mike. I was thinking 60s based on the tag. That stitching in the back of the sweat is interesting. I may have to do a Stingy week or weeks sometime here soon.Very classy hat for the era (late 1950s?) Love that liner tip and sweat stamps. Dig it!

How about beginning Monday. I may just be wearing them around the house, but we can send the non-stingy folks scattering like cockroaches!Sounds like a plan! We shall bring brim Grinchmas to the lounge. When shall we officially start?

Thanks Doug, I think we are starting a revolutionary movement!I may join you for a day or two.
Technical question: where are we drawing the line....stingy or NOT stingy? Is 2" the cutoff or can we go toThanks Doug, I think we are starting a revolutionary movement!

2 1/4"
Exactly... one man’s stingy is another man’s wide brim. LOLAh-ha! As the OP, I started this thread with the arbitrary brim width of less that 2 3/8 inches. Not everyone will agree with this “definition,” but I’ve given up trying to get universal acceptance on most anything. I think our 2 1/4” brims count for stingies (they sure look stingy on my giant melon).
