Vintage Custom Made Wingtips

These just arrived today. All they say inside is "Custom Made" with O'Sullivans heels. Seem like a solid pair of nicely made shoes and looks like they were hardly worn. Would you guys say 1940s or 1950s?

Got a pair of "D.J. Leavenworth" shoes from Goodwill for $6.50 today.
I assume they're late 60s-mid 70s, but I could be wrong.

EDIT: Did some searching and apparently they're military shoes.
Huh...

Got my new pair today after a 2 year wait. Didn't mind the wait because it was well worth it. The fit is superb and the shoes are perfect. The shoes are very very elegant and not a wide square toe like in the picture...it is a very elegant chisel that photographs can't do justice to.

Various features include:

* inbuild supports inside,
* a notched heel most commonly on French and Japanese bespoke,
* a canted heel to add pizzazz,
* the famous Cleverley chisel toe
* all leather heel, no rubber moon piece, but uses a metal heel insert coomonly used in Europe.
* close cut fiddle back waist
* 11 spi on soles
* wholecut
* indigo blue alligator leather

Cleverley bespoke is pretty awesome and l want to own more pairs. Well worth it!!! Quality, designing your own shoo and knowing you have a one-of-a-kind pair is the best feeling possible.

Mind blowing quality colour and design shooey - bit of a spade going on? Knew you would see sense.

Shooman; The Cleverley bespoke shoes are a work of art. The chisel fronts coming out from an excellent pair of cuffed slacks provides the wearer stylish class. The waist and sole shape contrasts well. I have met one pair and the owner wore them well. Yours appear sleek, trim and yet they are obvious for wearing and not display. The body of the shoe, made for your foot just floats above the forefoot sole. Excellent shoes. I bet they draw a bunch of attention whenever you wear them.

Wear them proudly sir. Eric -

I'm usually not a fan of exotic leather except for on spectators, but those are amazing. I absolutely love how balanced the scales are.

Teemu made the last, clicked the leather and cut the pattern. It shows how good he is...he is an artist. He laid out the scales top perfection!!! Morio did the fine needle work stitching of the soles and bevelled waist etc. Teemu and myself have an intricate meeting of the minds on the finest of details, it is obvious he is very good at his job.

Oh lord, those shoes are just KILLER! WOW! I bet it must have been hard to wait and now that you have them, I can already tell you are one super happy camper! LOL! Rightfully so!

You are right about having something made exactly as you wanted them to be from top to bottom. And for sure, those are beautiful gems. Thank you for showing these, they are super!
