Then this is going to kill you. They're a size 8 1/2. The first time on eBay, they didn't get a single bid at a starting price of $22.49! The second time around, there was only ONE bidder!

Hey, I pay commission for great finds that fit me!!!
You could use those soles as brake pads if you needed.
Some 1940's Gunboat Shell Wingtip OXFORDS (had too many Bluchers)..
First pic shows the shell "dust" that oozes out of the leather of very old shell. Took 2 hours and a LOTTA shell cream to shine them up. Was worth it, I think.
Maybe, but bluchers/ derbies and oxfords are not the same thing.
Definitely worth it! May I ask what type of shell cream you used? I'm looking for a good brand!
I LOVE Venetian! It costs a fraction of Renovateur & works better, I think.
You're right ... but tell that to American shoe companies in the 1930s. From the Los Angeles Times, March 21, 1938:
I love the style of these . . . I don't suppose there are cleats or nails in the heels?
My son's NOS (not any more) wingtips.
They are of similar construction to my son's ventilated Red Goose shoes. Nice!
You are a GOOD DAD!
