Hi everyone! I'm new to posting here, but have been lurking for awhile now. I love seeing all the beautiful finds. I've always loved vintage looks, but other than the occasional 60's sheath dress I've never really worn any. I really want to try some looks from different decades and really see what I love the most. I just made my first vintage purchase the other day off of ebay and couldn't be more thrilled.

Luckily the bidding didn't go too high, and I walked away with this beauty. It's in flawless condition. It doesn't look like it has ever been worn, the fabric shows no sign of wear whatsoever. Best of all it was in a bigger size! It's still a bit snug through the hips right now, but by spring I should be fine wearing it.

:eusa_clap Lovely!!! I love the colour and the pockets are so cute!

I don't know if this belongs here, but I have a question.
I am watching a couple of dresses and skirts on ebay, and etsy, but I am scared to purchase anything. I've been warned by a couple of people about buying online. Typically, how accurate is the measurements and sizing? Or have you ever gotten a dress that you thought you loved, but looked very different in person? I hope this makes sense. :p

Just read the stores return policies. Contact the seller and ask specific questions. Its not too hard to buy online, but do realize what you are investing in. Its not the seller's fault if you don't look good in something, but it is their fault if the measurements are incorrect.

shazzabanazza and Miss Golightly, thanks! My birthday is not for a few weeks, but I hope it will be here by then and I can wear it, completely disregarding the fact that it is rainy and windy and not at all appropriate for this season :D

I purchased my first two vintage compacts yesterday. I can see how easy it would be to become a collector of these, some of them are so beautiful. Check out my blog for pics :D

A 50s cocktail hat

and a wedding dress listed as 50s, but is probably 60s (It looks a bit long waisted, but it was cheap enough to take a chance on)

I looooove that coat! I have leather gloves in the exact same colour, and they seem to go with so many other colours!

Those are all lovely LinaSofia!

I tried to make my first ebay purchase today. I had been watching an adorable 50's lace dress for the last few days, and I lost it by 2 seconds! I guess that when you use ebay, disappointment is inevitable. :)
