I've got a few new Munrospuns that I shall get around to putting on, but for the meantime some nice tie and scarf sets that I acquired - still can't decide whether to wear them or keep them in their box! They've spent the last 60 years in there after all!

All Trias and Linosair ties I've come across I always really love - in all their fabrics.

Hopefully you folks are still interested in lovely Scottish ties!

A few quite old ones, I'll just show the small-blades with the labels for convenience - a no-nonsense 'Lochmarl', an equally no-nonsense 'Munrospun' (with the earliest version of the label I have come across), a 'Fostrian Scotch Tweeds' tie by 'Foster Brothers', and a very nice but absolutely machine-gunned Munrospun (I counted 25+ moth holes across it, but luckily non very noticeable on the front-blade, so wearable).

A very nice and vibrant Munrospun-like by 'Hector Russell Highland Industries'.

And lastly a 1960s+ 'Munrospun' in great rainbow-like colours. Pretty snazzy I dare say.

Thanks for looking! And please post any wool ties you have! I'm always keen to see them!

I'm in Scotland at the weekend, I normally find loads when I'm there. I'll probably pick up a few if they are suitably cheap.

Starting in Edinburgh, then over to Loch Lomond (maybe a trip to Falkirk or Stirling thrown in). If I can pick up some cheap ties I certainly will. I always like to have some 'swaps' sitting around.

Currently re jigging all my tie storage ....hopefully I'll have more room for yet more ties hopefully stored in colour and material order, currently have a section for woollen ones, one for vintage silks and rayon and one for 80's does 40's silks....up to around 200 if I include modern silks such as Hermes, Jaeger, Liberty .....still room for more though and always searching for the king of ties especially mint and for a quid!

Some curious ones. All have the 'Woolmark' symbol on them - two Munrospuns and one unknown with what I assume is the 'International Wool Secretariat' initials on it. I can only assume that the fellow who owned these worked for the IWS - I wasn't aware it was a design label or anything. Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks!

I didn't catch this thread until now. Can we use this thread for "show us your boring ties" to keep the riffraff out of the "show us your ties" thread?;):p

Residing in the States, I don't know that I've ever come across the brands you're all sharing. Interesting collection with some fine specimens.
