1999 Harley-Davidson Sportster

I just picked up this '99 Sportster this morning. Very clean, with 4700 original miles on it. Looking forward
to cooler weather here in the Sonoran Desert so I can take it out on the road for a long, cool ride.

When I got married in '92 I picked up a new Harley Sportster. I still have the bike but unfortunately don't have much time to ride. I am going to remedy that and the ol' girl back on the road.
I've always loved the old BMWs, Nortons, BSAs, etc.
Recently stumbled across this site and fell in love with their bikes

05 suzuki sv1000s. I stripped off the front end for a naked look. Here are photos from my road trip earlier this summer. The last photo was taken outside of my cabin. The blue bike is my buddies soft tail deluxe.

I picked this up a couple of months ago. It is a 1968 Norton Commando engine in a 1970 frame. The first frames were built wrong and could kill you, so they reframed most of the early Commandos. It has a Colorado VIN stamped on the frame, serial number followed by COL, but some one stamped the C backwards! As you can tell it was some ones twisted idea of a custom. High bars and a Chevy Impala yellow, with custom drawn emblems. It must have been "far out man" back in the 70s! Engine is frozen, but under the rust are original Dunstall Decibel mufflers. Lot of work, don't expect to see it to soon!

You and I have similar tastes. However, I just sold my trackbike, a Triumph Daytona 955i.

I just picked up one of these too:

Killer bikes, you really can't beat them if you want minimal maintanence fun. Glad you're enjoying yours off the pavement too!

Here is what my Forty-Eight looks like now....

I had a gas cap custom made out of brass. I also installed a Dakota Digital multi function gauge in place of the stock speedometer. The mufflers are now LOUD Vance & Hines Straightshots. To keep the wind from hitting me in the chest I put on a dark tinted fly screen.

I've just built this, I got it as an engine and frame, and the rest has been built over the last year.

But they are never finished, this has got really early forks which I'm now changing for later ones, but I have just bent the top yoke trying to get them in... Still biggest show of the year this weekend, so there's an excuse to spend cash!!

Avatar shows one of my other bikes, a 350 AJS that is used for trials and is pretty beaten up but still goes!
