Here's my up-do faker! This works for anyone with short hair as long as the top is long enough to take a curl. My hair is currently cut in a stacked bob, with nothing longer than the back on the hair line.

You look so adorable! You'd never know your hair was in a stacked bob cut. And, I envy your eyes and beautiful skin!

Took 5 minutes and I slept in the wave clips to ensure dryness. No product was used but water...

I gave a hand at victory rolls today. Boy, are they frustraiting! Lisa and the other girls' tutorials make it look so easy! :)

I am hoping that after I get my hair cut it will be much easier. My hair is so thick. The ends were just a pain to gather. I noticed in one tutorial, for bangs, it was suggested to use a bobby pin to help keep it together while you roll. Perhaps this can help on the sides? Any other tips/suggestions?

Here's a picture. I couldn't hold the camera at an angle to really show off the front, but I think the side angle captured it better.

Voila:

Hey Psycho Sue i have a question completely unrelated to the hair!! Although it does look great!! Is the shirt that you are wearing one of the new ones from Torrid? I was looking at it online but was not sure if I should buy it for 2 reasons, one, is the poof in the edge of the shoulders really poofy or just a little bit and 2, I thought the belt would be removable and then i read the description a little bit more closely and saw that it says that it has a ruched waist. Is the sizing true to size, ie I am a 20-22 and usually wear a 2x or 3x Thanks for any info, i really appreciate it :) Sorry for the none hair related post ladies, but ya gotta get the info when you have the chance :)

OK did you use your "rats" that's what makes the rolls stand up nice & firm!did you "rat" your own hair?
I guess when I get my daughter to do a video of the "Betty Bangs" I developed for myself I'm going to have to get a how to tye a "rosie" bandana & a victory roll tutorial going as well!
I'll get on this tommrow!
In the mean time......keep practicing! Mom's coming!

I tried using rats, but that really didn't turn out so well for me. I thought it would be as simple as rolling your hair like a curler. Of course, sponge rollers didn't turn out that great for me, either. I threw in the towel for that one as pincurls held out MUCH better. I think a lot of it is due to the length (my hair is below my shoulders)? I'm having difficulty keeping everything together while trying to roll the ends. I saw a tutorial (of course after I had already finished my hair) on folding the section in half and then rolling from there. That appears to be a better way than the one I was trying. I had difficulty with the part as well. I parted it slightly on one side, but the hair looked funny in front of the roll. I tried to cover it up with my bangs. The other side of my bangs did not want to cooperate, so I just swept them back with the roll.

Thank you, and I look forward to your videos! :)

Ok ladies, I'd like some opinions on this style. I've been practicing how to get my knee length, bang free hair up into a vintage looking style!

I will post the setting pattern then! I just have to remember what I did since I made it up, but it was not hard.

To PrairieSunrise: Your hair is very cute :) and vintage looking set like that. All you need is a flower on the side and it will be complete! Nice job :) and your lips are gorgeous too!
