Lovely 'do's Lenore and Miss Tuppence.

Here is a photo of my hubby and me after Nightcap (a one-night stand burlesque show) at the Triple Door in Seattle. MahagonnyBill's wearing his 50's suit and fedora and I'm in my Folkwear 30s Day Dress.

First post!
My hair has grown beyond manageable length for me I'm afraid. It also dislikes this length, and so I am off to get a femme fatale/middy plus cut on Friday (and will post the results of that in the middy thread as I believe I'm getting a free setting that evening as well!). Here's a pre photo from today for posterity's sake (you can see my misbehaved left side barely took as per usual):

Welcome, Amandarae! I hope you're happy with your new haircut :) It looks like your hair has taken a fair bit of curl despite it's length so hopefully, when it's a bit shorter it'll be just right! Enjoy curling :)

From today.

Do you know, I genuinely can't imagine you in modern clothes at all Tuppence. You have the perfect face and figure for your era, you really do look exactly like you have stepped through a time tunnel!
W-D Forties, you are still an enigma, and now, just to infuriate me even more, Miss Tuppence shows up, and corny though it sounds, Miss Tuppence, my wife and I are convinced that we have seen you "on the scene."
That photo? The backdrop suggests that it was a professional shoot. It wasn't at the Rhythm Riot by any chance, was it?
Great hairstyle, by the way.
Ladies, just a suggestion. Have either of you been at an event where a couple of hairstylists, one a redhead, the other, blonde, calling themselves: "The Bournemouth Bombshells" have been the resident vintage hairdressers, by chance?
Two beautifully presented vintage lovers, and neither of us can place either of you. It's driving us mad.

From shopping Saturday, when it was ridiculously hot here. I went for kind of a rockabilly ponytail with a rolled pomp up front to keep my hair up off my neck.

How do you do your layering, do you use different colors or just one? And how do you make it stay? My lipstick, no matter how good it looks right after applying, seldomly lasts longer than one drink. :(

Not gonna lie, I'm ridiculously proud of my pin curl set today!

Flat pin curls everywhere, 6 standing ones at the top, fringe in two small foam rollers. The hair flower is from Claire Accessories.

(Huge smile courtesy of listening to my partner's phone voice. Hilarious!)

I've been growing my hair out from a pixie since last June. It's finally getting long enough to do stuff with.
I tried rag curls last week and had a major, unruly mess that I had to wash out. This week I decided to try pin curls.

I'm pretty happy with how my first attempt turned out:
