Last weeks "Hair experiments"



1. Panther Bow updo : Still trying to attempt Victory Rolls and first try of "socks curls"...ended by that updo...
2. Orange bow : "Varga" hairdo thanks to Lisa Fremont Youtube Tuto
3. Purple bows : Symetrical Vic-Rolls (very proud of thoses) and curly updo



1. Vic-Rolls (fail) and braid, good fringe day.
2. Today's hair : 2 minutes-updo and big flowers (discovering that excess of flowers in my hair is very good against grumpy mood )
3. Donut updo and black bow, 60's style
4. First bobby pin set ever, didn't know what to do with those messy curls...

Miss sofia, I don't have a great pic of the back, but here is one anyway. All I did was put it loosely in an elastic (one of those clear ones that you can't see) and I pinned the curls around it and up the sides of my head a bit. There is a style in Lauren's book that I got the idea from!

Veronica and baby_butterfly, thank you! Last night was a full-on disaster, so I'm glad this one came out so nicely!

Rosie_Beau, that is darling and so suits you!

Ball Hair

Hi there
I thought Id post a couple of quick not so great photos, i went to a vintage ball on Saturday and did my hair 1920s style.
It came out great - it should have done it took about 4 hrs to do! although the photos dont do it justice. It was 1 am at this point
So I did marcel waves in the front with clips, my hair is long in front so I had to curl the ends also.
I then put all the back in hot rollers.
I just tucked the back all up so it llooked like short hair - easy to do when the rollers came out and voila - ten million bobby pins later...

It is still wavy 2 days later! It must have been the amount of settting lotion i soaked my hair with! I have figured i need quite a strong mixture of lottabody to get the desired effect in my hair.

@Veronica: I used wave clamps around my face (ending just above the ears) on my wet hair for a few hours. Then I took the clamps out and pulled out a flat iron to wave the rest of my hair (by doing this motorcycle-revving motion with the iron on the hair). And that's it.

@Tatum: You pull off this style so beautifully! It look like it's upswept so effortlessly.

@Rosie_Beau: Too cute! The blue of the bow and your hair color go well together. I'm really jealous of your hair color, quite frankly.

@Claireg: How pretty! I love the little clip on the side, it really completes the look.

I did a loose roll with a little red bow and straight hair recently for a rock n'roll gig. I never really do the half up half down hair but I got lots of nice compliments so it may be my new style! Excuse the hideous roots!
