Last year I parted with a C96 Broomhandle to acquire a Colt Bisley. Well today I won an auction for another to replace it. A Bolo in 7.63, probably made around 1921. Even has a reproduction shoulder stock.

Well, the Bolo made it to my FFL yesterday so I went and adopted it today. While I was doing my paperwork on it Monday I spotted another orphan for a bargain price so it came home today as well. A Sig GSR 1911 stainless in really nice shape. The price was so good I didn't even have the heart to haggle over it!

Great pair.
Amazing when you think that the two guns were designed within the same generation yet today the broom handle is an antique consigned to history.
Conversely the 1911 just keeps on going, refreshed and reimagined for the future.
What a testament to John Moses Browning.
Enjoy!:)

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, I have heard the term before. If it is referring to the barrel being pinned to the frame then, yes.

It is a pre 25 Model 1955 45 ACP made in 1957

That is where I had heard the term, did a little research and found out it was about bowling pins. So in answer to your question yes it is!

Had another "mud puppy" come home today, a LEO trade in Hi Power. Belgian made, very tight with a good amount of holster/carry wear on the painted finish. Metal is pretty decent underneath and has a good bore with a clean but heavy trigger. This one is gonna get some TLC, sandblasting the old factory paint off. blue it, new grips and see about getting the trigger lightened which may involve removing the magazine safety. I hadn't handled a Hi Power in years and had forgotten how really good they feel in the hand.
