Totally agree- some imports aren't bad at all. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound like all were. (and I edited this cause I think I was getting a little too close to political talk)
I find a lot of time with sewing that I'm more particular about my own work than even clients are. I'll nitpick things to death! I still do industry shortcuts like blind hemming on machine, etc, but when something comes out woobly I'll get really mad at myself and usually either throw it in the scrap heap or sell it online, where I know there's people who are a lot less fussy than me! Do you gals notice that when you sew you notice a lot more about construction and fit of things in the store? I totally do! When I bought a shirt the other day, like I mentioned, I pulled all of my size off the rack and compared all the seam finishing on the ruffles! lol Thankfully I'm not so OCD in every area of my life...
