Mine too, but not very accurate. I really like Brad Pitt's "The Assassination..." but see how those who don't know facts would have a hard time following it.One of my favorite Westerns.

Interesting side note that goes beyond the scope of "The Assassination..." movie concerning Bob Ford & Edward O'Kelley, the man who killed Ford. As the railroad line was being extended & Creede, CO was just a mining camp, in the wintertime everything pulled back to Pueblo for better accommodations. As was common in the day complete strangers would often share a boarding room together, as did Bob Ford & Edward O'Kelley the winter of 1891-1892. When Spring came & passage was again open to Creede, O'Kelley discovered some of his belongings were missing including a diamond ring. It's unknown if Ford stole the ring or not, but likely that O'Kelley had more on his mind than avenging the James assassination when he killed Ford that June.I'm with you both on this and to say I know little of this history is an understatement but I recognize a good movie. I enjoyed the Pitt movie but the odds of keeping my attention beyond 2-2:10 in one sitting anymore is negligiand has been for some time. This one at 2:40 went on a bit.
From what I've seen, a western with a telescoping crown is advertised as a "Gambler" or "Dealer" or something to that effect. Here's another picture of Wayne in the hat, it shows the telescope crown.

I just watched the John Wayne movie North to Alaska. I'm curious about what hat John Wayne is wearing. It appears to have a telescope scope. He changes to a black version later in the movie.
