Sir Terence David John Pratchett, OBE (28 April 1948 – 12 March 2015), better known as Terry Pratchett, was an English author of fantasy novels, especially comical works. He is best known for his Discworld series of 41 novels.

The next photo I put into the wrong thread, but that's because the subject matter had wandered a bit. Lets put it where it belongs. These guys are not famous in the celebrity sense, they were serving soldiers in WW2. Every soldier, sailor & airman were given a made to measure suit when they were demobilised. No idea where they got their hats. I do hope you enjoy the photo though.

The hats were part of the demob suit. Soldiers were given a choice of felt hat or flat cap. According to the Imperial War Museum the full package included:
A felt hat or optional flat cap.
A double-breasted pinstripe three-piece suit, or a single-breasted jacket with flannel trousers.
Two shirts with matching collar studs.
A tie.
Shoes.
A raincoat.
Great picture (wrong thread or not).

Very interesting. I wonder if they did the same thing for US veterans? Oh boy, another research project, just what I need. Look, shiny object...Historian OCD.
