Alright... this thread is to showcase those people you run into on the streets whom know how to put it together. They don't have to be Lounge members, they just have to know how to wear clothes and have that "It", "Gravitas" -- you know, the goods!

Not friends. Not relatives. Just people you snap shots of on the street or around town who have "It".

Couple older fellows in New York whom knew how to put it all together.

Shot them in Grand Central.

The guy in the middle is and owner of Employees Only in New York. Dresses like this when he's taking care of the guests. Lots of style.

Sounds like fun. I used to get my picture taken all the time in whatever city or town I was in, when I was younger and extremely beautiful. Don't know where they were printed, no Internet back then. Must get a camera, I must. Now it's my pug who gets photographed by the crowds whenever he wears his Chinese coat.

What's great about this pic (besides how great she looks) is there was an article in the NYT a few years back touching on the chic-ness of the Duane Reade shopping bag. It has become a fashion accessory in itself with people carrying non DR bought items in it, lunch, change of shoes, etc. I totally want to participate in this, I've gotta start using my camera phone more.

Odd. I thought using a Duane Reade bag to take my laundry to the cleaners was just me being lazy...but it actually is stylish instead?

Wow

Wow, I was just thinking that this is our kind of Vintage version of "The Sartorialist". This gives me the opportunity to finally put that new digital camera we have to use. :)

FG.

When are you guys and gals going to post some pics?

*sigh* If I actually find someone who is naturally stylish. I thought I would at church yesterday since the church body is mostly older folk but I was wrong. Only one other gentleman wore a suit jacket, everyone else was very casual. It's quite discouraging when you see practically no body who is stylish. Maybe it's the heat, maybe it's the small town but I am having no luck. Anyone else?

I see stylish people all the time. I tend not to carry a camera. Perhaps i'll sketch some. There's one particular drunkard on Brick Lane who seesm to have lost his mind sometime in the 1960s. He still wears the greatest of the mod/carnaby styles. he was wearing an Afghan jacket the other day! great. My ma has one just like it . . .

I'll try to remember the camera sometime.

Reminds me of Léon... writer/director Luc Besson based the look of the title character off a hobo he saw in Paris. Funny enough, I've seen hobos that look like that in Montréal as well.
