Otter.... I've heard that said often, but I'm curious as to whether it's an urban myth. Sounds a lot like the old story about RAF pilots dressing slowly so as not to sweat In case that froze on them. Can't square that one with what we know the reality of a scramble during the BoB myself.... At least Wiki isn't, as I recall, too far off on the details of the jackets. I don't claim a huge level of expertise myself, but some of the claims made on many of the websites selling repros and reinterpretations of nylon jackets are so far off as to be total misinformation. Saw one the other day that essentially thought the B10 never existed, that there was only a B15 (no A,B, C or D), then the Ma1 from 1952.... in blue. Wildly confused. This from someone selling "reproductions"....
