Shearling jacket YELLOW thoughts?

While strolling through NYC I just saw this shearling jacket. Obviously a fashion piece, however still made from 100% sheep shearling. I think it’s inspired by the AN-J-4.
Surprisingly, the fit is spot on. Never have this with stock jackets. Since owning multiple Aero jackets I am always hesitant so pay high amounts for a brand name...
Thoughts?

Personally, not a great fan of yellow jackets, but each to their own (it’s a good fit on you though).

If fits you and I like those pockets but imho it could use more taper in the waist. It's got a bit of a hourglass thing going on with the wide shoulders, the neat fit around the chest and then the loser fit and patch pockets on the hips. Also the sheepskin appears somewhat thin to me. If you like the color (I don't mind yellow, I love my yellowish golden corduroy Levis jacket) and it's less than 500 USD, sure why not. Wouldn't pay more than that though.

It would darken over time but for that money I'd get a B3 from Eastman or Aero. Actually you should check out the SFAD B3, ain't she lovely.

I think it’s not comparable - the two companies mentioned produce great repros aiming at authenticity while the jacket posted is clearly a fashion piece...

I have sheepskin jacket (without shearling) that started orange, now 5 yrs, 2x machine washed and several drizzle later, it turned tan somewhat like monitor's with some yellow on the sleeve from sun fading.... i like how the color turns out, but I rarely wear it honestly

Yeah, but no offense to the OP, but that jacket looks way cooler and not like a mall jacket. My FW Sunset is still yellow right now too, but I never feel weird wearing it.

IMO if you want a B3, get a real one or a B6.

The basic design is quite nice if you want something that doesn't look like a milspec jacket. I'd agree it's ANJ4 inspired, thouh the pocket-shape is more like a Nomex-era jacket to my eye. I wouldn't care for the colour myself, but that's to personal choice. That said, I would doubt that you could better the quality of the likes of an Aero B3 with a fashion jacket at the same price. Again, though, if it is a good quality jacket then a lot comes down to whether you like it enough and are prepared to pay £$that, whatever that is.
