Totally agree, and it's sitting in stock in NYC so no delivery issues. Just have to watch sizing with Epaulet as they tend to run a bit small.

Nice jacket ... lots of similar ones out there ( Aeromarine, Aeronaut, Simmons Billt etc. etc. ) and at $1250 it's a lot of dough IMHO.

The patch pockets work much better than I thought they would ( so much so that my AL Simmons persuaded me to revisit my A2 again) .... and with an inside pocket it's just fine.

Great spring summer jackets though and much more practical than a denim jacket .. especially in avoiding the "double denim" syndrome

Very nice! For the life of me I can't tell what the color is though...my screen it is showing as a very dark brown...

I like the shawl collar quite a bit, but didn't even notice the lack of hand pockets when I posted it. That would be a deal breaker for me. There are a lot of similar ones out there. To be honest, I wasn't really a fan of this type of jacket in the beginning. That 2-3 inch strip at the bottom of these types of jackets always struck me as something added to lengthen a too short jacket. Still not my favorite style, but it's growing on me.

I do like the look of this one, though and the price is about the same that you'd pay elsewhere for veg-tanned horsehide.

I think it's interesting that the figure 1,250 is the same as the price that BK charges for all its civvy jackets. All that seems to change is the currency unit in front of it.

Common practice for US-based firms to charge in the UK the dollar figure with the pound-sign at the front (around 2007, this effectively meant a price hike of 120% in the UK). More unusual an approach, in my experience, within the EU though. Maybe Thedi are manufacturing the BK jackets. [huh] BK's presence here, formerly, did imply that the BK brand was a new venture for an existing firm, so. This one is the only commonality in their range, but if anyone's especially keen on the "Aeronaut" it might be an option to get one at a significant reduction and without the TM-worrying branding. [huh]

I was in contact with them when I bought the BK Aeronaut. Thedi was quite nice as well! And they also do customized sizing and stuff! Just contact them directly, I’m sure they will do slash pockets. And they’re not as expensive when you buy directly.
Plus: You support the work force of Greece, which I like!
