... I've had the D.R. Harris soap for over a year and I never managed to get a satisfactory soapy cream with it. No matter what I try, I only get unstable foam that vanishes after a couple of seconds. Probably the worst and most expensive shaving soap I ever owned. Glad it was a present and I did't waste money on it. Back to Proraso or Haslinger again for the next shave.
I too have had less than stellar results using DR Harris. The Rose cream smells amazing but the foam was less than inspired. Trumper makes a wonderful shaving cream.
-Have you tried Queen Charlotte Soaps? Made in the USA and one of the few tallow-based creams/soaps left. Awesome scents and lather.

No I haven't but I'll give it a try. Thanks for the tip.-Have you tried Queen Charlotte Soaps? Made in the USA and one of the few tallow-based creams/soaps left. Awesome scents and lather.
