Decided to start a new combined thread, as most of the formerly listed jackets sold and my field of interest changed a little.

Selling:
1) Aero Barnstormer in Conolly Steerhide size 40

24" pit to pit, great condition, looks good as new except for a few spots of colorloss along the sleeve seams, you know, the usual spot where all used jackets start losing color first.

Asking 400€ plus shipping for this one.

2) Vanson CHP

Size 42, wears more like a 40 though, 22" pit to pit. Unworn by both the first owner and me, so technically new. Thick, heavy leather, not what Vanson uses today, my freshly made America jacket is made from thinner stuff.

Even though not featured in the pictures, the jacket comes with the belt.

Plenty of information and pictures here:
http://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/vanson-chp2.90050/
Also asking 400€ plus shipping for this one.

What am I looking for?
-Casual Lost Worlds
styles, I'm especially fond of the Ryder Half-Belt, but also interested into the Suburban, Roadhouse or Downtown car coat. I was adviced by Stuart to wear a 42 in his jackets, so unless it is a decently regular sized 40, I need a 42. 22" pit to pit is the go for. So, if you got one of those LWs lieing around and find yourself never actually wearing it, drop me a message!

I'll also accept other jackets as trade offers, one for one, but money I will only spend on a Lost Worlds.

Thanks for looking!

Shoulder is 19.75" and sleeve length 25". I am 5'9" and the sleeves are a tiny tad long on me, in a "i can get away with it"-kind of way. They wear kind of long. My Vansons have 26.5" ish sleeves are wear shorter because they are tighter at the cuffs and sit on my wrist and fold and wrinkle up, while this one falls over the wrists.

It is not too warm btw, I wear it comfortably at 5-10°C, below that you have to layer properly or you'll freeze.

Damn perfect size for me as well, I have a old leather Schott peacoat was worn maybe 1/2 dozen times over the last winter here in Brisbane I think this is rated for about 5-10°C as well, I just don’t think it would get worn much in my part of the world thanks for the extra measurements though

Bump.

I also have a Schott 184 Bomber jacket in tan leather and golden fur collar size 42 (fits 40), a vtg Monarch size 40 in reddish brown steerhide, a Johnson Leather M-120 in a not so nice 3.5 oz cowhide, a Johnson Leather size M Car Coat in black and beautiful 3.75 oz bison hide, an Aero Leather On the Waterfront black fqhh/green-black-plaid wool turn-around jacket in size 38/40L maybe, just maybe my Aero Superheavy Steerhide size 38 HWM (which I am very hesitant to sell rn and surely won't go cheaper than the 500e I paid for it just a few months ago). Also for sale a CAl Leather 5 oz Cowhide cross zip in a size 40/42 (22" pit to pit). If you're interested into any of these, shoot me a message.

JJ, a word about Stuart’s Downtowns. In my experience they run kind of large everywhere. I was virtually swimming in the 44 that I sold. The 42 I bought to replace it was hardly smaller.

Just read your comments on the Barnstormer. My Downtown 42 fits the same way with the sleeves and I don’t reach for it that often for the same reason. (I am also 5’9”.) it’s kind of become my raincoat.....at least it’s lighter than the previous one. All that leather adds up in a 3/4 coat!

Thanks for the notice. Mind telling me your weight, since we are one height? That may help me figuring out what size I should go for. When I saw your size 44 with 23.5" pit to pit, I thought this may work for me, my Teamster had the same 23.5" and the Barnstormer has 24" but they are both tapered towards the hem, maybe the Downtown is not?

Downtown is not tapered anywhere. Straight as an arrow. This is great for layering. I find even if I have a substantial sweater on, I can still move comfortably and the sleeves fall more comfortably higher on the wrist. Must go to the mountains this winter!

Yrah, it kind of is, it's all exit pieces!!! :D If you really want it, I can put it back for you, you know, because I'm thinking about making a more detailled thread with all the other jackets I'm selling. That Cheyenne kind of went over my budget for this month, but it was a reasonable 350 GBP and looked crazily good, so I couldnt resist..

Right now I am thinking of reducing my collection to a total of 6 jackets;

2 Coats, one black (my black Johnson or if I sell it, I'll replace it with a Lost Worlds, one brown (the Cheyenne)
2 Casual jackets, my HWM and my black Langlitz Cascade
2 Bomber jackets, Brown Chevignon and black Vanson Stadium

The rest I'll sell, give to my siblings or just put in a container for the day the 6 above are worn out and need replacement.

Yeah, I've hoarded six trucker jackets in two weeks. Of course, all exit pieces... But yeah, I really want - no, NEED - that Cal. Weather's turned to crap and I need a heavy, warm jacket that would get me to work safely each day and a cross zip in 5 oz sounds just the thing. But I'd seriously be going over my budget. I'm actually considering listing the Schott CR to make some money for it... Argh!
