or WASH IT. I've done 2 goatskin jackets now and it gets rid of the smoke smell completely ( I bought a BK M422a and it reeked when it arrived .... nothing diminished the stench of ashtray on it ...... washing machine cold wash with woolite and an extended air dry on a pipe insulation padded hanger and hey presto .... no smell, like new)

worth a try before a major re-work like a reline .... and goat is INCREDIBLY robust IMHO.

But one more vouch for the JL goat, is that you really can treat it bad, and it will hold up. I don't think storing it wadded amidst a pile of clothes was ideal, and it's just fine.

That's how I store my leathers. Never does any harm to any leather jacket i've had.
