Too bad he didn’t wear one of his leather jackets in this shoot:
Very interesting — thank you for sharing your first-hand experience, it’s really helpful.I tried on the SP611 jacket. Size XL is not far off from my 618 size 44. The length is good and short. However, the hem is too wide for how short it is. It needs to be a little more tapered in my opinion to be this length. The size charts reflect this but I still wanted to see if it would work.
Even without the underarm footballs the pattern has pretty good range of motion. More so than the 613s pattern in my opinion. This may be due in part to the leather and liner.
The liner is thin polyester type fabric, with no insulation or quilting. Makes the jacket go on easy and I guess leaves more room for layering or moving around.
The leather looks promising , has nice grain, but feels very lightweight. I would much prefer their standard steerhide or horsehide or naked cowhide. If you are looking for a comfortable lightweight leather maybe you would like it.
Overall I’m not crazy about the fit or the leather and the price is too high. (I have all the same complaints about the 568 “vandals” jacket, which I also wanted to like) Trying this on makes me really appreciate my 618 and 118. The patterns on the 118 and 618 work really well for me and Schott’s standard steerhide and naked cowhide are hard to beat.
That collar is just....well.....the flaps just look ridiculous but that's just my opinion. The Freehold is an absolute joke compared to the original East West jacket!
I can’t imagine a more watered down, tepid, perfunctory piece of **** attempt. Wrong color, wrong collar and lapel. Awful.

to short? judging by the pics that's the perfect lengthHas anyone here actually got one the of the SP 540’s?
Its a nice looking jacket and I haven’t seen any evidence anywhere of one in the wild, save for a Reddit post of a guy saying it was too short and the leather is thin…
I am likely purchasing one tomorrow at the sale. They are a slim fitting jacket which despite its monikor, is not a true "Delivery" jacket pattern like the 246 and 546, both of which I already own.Has anyone here actually got one the of the SP 540’s?

Yes, it is a cropped jacket unlike the other Delivery jackets in Schott's lineup. I do not understand why they named it as such, it really doesn't even look like one, either in the front or back. The 540 is its own animal, with a one piece back, cinches on the back, and no kidney panel. On the front it had the box pattern outside the 2 slash front pockets, so there is a lot unique to set it apart from the standard Delivery pieces.to short? judging by the pics that's the perfect length
That’s what I thought. Seems like people like longer jackets these days, or don’t get that it’s a vintage style *shrug*to short? judging by the pics that's the perfect length

Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Please post pics if you do get one! Whoever said the leather is thin is wrong, it is a substantial cowhide and thicker than the 546.
I am a bit aggravated they stopped making the 540H, which was made using shinki horsehide - only a small is still available as of today.
If you are in NYC they have them at the Schott NYC store and Nordstroms, where I've tried them on. The issue I'm having with the pattern is my normal size is a large, but the larges I've tried on were too snug on the torso. The XLs I've tried on fit in the body but the arms were too long. I am hoping to find a large at the factory that is big enough to fit correctly. Please post pics if you do get one! I’d love to see a real picture of the thing.
Sadly, no not in NYC. Being able to try one on would be great. Ha.If you are in NYC they have them at the Schott NYC store and Nordstroms, where I've tried them on. Never seen one of these in the wild either. The pics on the website look really nice.Anyone own the two Star? I feel like that jacket is being slept on
There is a spec chart on the page:Sadly, no not in NYC. Being able to try one on would be great. Ha.
I’m curious what the actual measures on the back, the p2p, etc are
